The height of the screen in the IMAX theatre is the equivalent of seven elephants. It is 14 meters high and 23 meters long. It is constructed of a special diffused matte white vinyl perforated with thousands of tiny holes to allow sound to pass through freely, giving the screen "acoustical transparency".
The screen is flat but has a slight compound curvature that extends beyond the field of the edge of peripheral vision. This combined with the 23-degree pitch angle of the seating area, provides a full unobstructed view from every seat. Even if 2m high person is sitting in front of you, you will see over his head.
